- ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS: By accessing or using the Curation of Travel website or our services, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
- VENDORS & SUPPLIERS: The airlines, hotels, cruises, and other suppliers whose travel or other services are offered are independent third parties and not subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, or employees of Curation of Travel LLC. Curation of Travel LLC is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, representations, warranties, breaches, or negligence of these suppliers, or any personal injuries, death, property damage, or other damages or expenses resulting therefrom. Curation of Travel LLC has no liability and is unable to make any refund in the event of any delay, cancellation, overbooking, strike, travel restrictions, force majeure, or other causes beyond its direct control. The terms and conditions of the vendors and suppliers govern the purchased services or product and we urge you to carefully review all applicable cancellation and refund terms. Any legal recourse is against the specific supplier or vendor. Furthermore, conditions can change rapidly in a country at any time. It is your responsibility to check the USA Government Travel advisories for your intended destination at travel.state.gov/content/travel.html.
- PASSPORTS & VISAS: U.S. citizens traveling to any destination outside of the United States will be required to present a valid U.S. passport. Passports must be valid for at least 6 months past the return date. It is recommended to have at least two blank pages in your passport. Some countries require a visa for transit or entry. All names on travel documents must match the legal name of your passport or government issued photo identification. Please check the State Department website at https://travel.state.gov for further details. If you are a citizen of another country, you may have additional requirements and should check with the nearest consulate or embassy of the destination you are traveling to for more details on entry requirements for non-U.S. citizens. It is your responsibility to check and comply with these regulations. Failure to meet these requirements may result in denied boarding, denied entry, and/or government-imposed fines which will be your sole responsibility.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE: For your protection, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. Travel insurance provides cancellation and interruption coverage as well as emergency medical expenses, emergency medical transportation, lost or damaged baggage, trip delay, and more. If you decline to purchase travel insurance with us, you should make your own arrangement for travel insurance coverage. Any loss and damages due to no travel insurance coverage are your sole responsibility. We will provide travel insurance information during the consultation process or during the proposal stage of your proposal.
- FLIGHT AND AIRPORT INFORMATION: You should reconfirm your flight information with the carrier before departure. Travelers are required to check-in at least 2 hours before departure time for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights and report to the gate at least 30 minutes before departure time. You should check and comply with all required airport and airline security screening requirements. Allow an extra 30-45 minutes for security screening. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the seat to another passenger or denied boarding.
- INSECTICIDE DISCLOSURE STATEMENT: The flight you have chosen may be subject to insecticide spraying before the flight, or while you are on the aircraft. Federal law requires us to refer you to the DOT’s disinfection website, www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/spray
- REFUSAL OF SERVICE: Service providers can refuse service to travelers at their sole discretion, including, but not limited to, if a traveler lacks proper documentation for the country of destination, has a contagious disease, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or narcotics, and/or displays disruptive or unruly behavior. Curation of Travel LLC is not liable for the acts of the service provider in refusing service.
Service Fees, Payments & Refunds:
Curation of Travel LLC charges a service fee equal to 10% of the total package price (the “Service Fee”). The Service Fee covers itinerary design, supplier research, booking coordination, requests for upgrades/perks, and pre‑ and on‑trip support. The Service Fee is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. A credited planning retainer (if required) will be applied to the Service Fee at booking. A planning retainer is required to begin service and will be credited against the Service Fee at booking. The retainer is refundable only if no substantive work has been performed; “substantive work” includes supplier research/availability checks, provisional holds, drafting detailed proposals, sourcing special requests, or more than 45 minutes of dedicated planning time. Once substantive work begins or supplier payments are issued, the retainer is non‑refundable and will be treated as earned and applied to the Service Fee. If the retainer equals or exceeds the calculated Service Fee, the retainer will be retained as the earned Service Fee and no additional Service Fee will be due. Payment of a retainer constitutes acceptance of these terms. Please view service fee/planning retainer/supplier deposit page for more information.
2. Supplier Payments & Non‑Refundability. Many suppliers require advance payments. Once Curation of Travel LLC has forwarded payment to a supplier or supplier payments are otherwise issued, the Service Fee is non‑refundable under any circumstance. Refunds for supplier‑controlled components (airfare, hotels, tours, cruises) are subject to the supplier’s cancellation and refund policies and any applicable penalties; such refunds (if any) will be passed through to the client less retained non‑refundable amounts and third‑party transaction costs.
3. Commissions & Transparency. Curation of Travel LLC may receive commissions, overrides, or other compensation from suppliers. Receipt of such compensation does not alter your Service Fee. If a commission materially influences a recommendation, Curation of Travel will disclose that relationship upon request.
4. Changes & Cancellations. Change or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Suppliers may assess change or cancellation fees; any such fees, plus applicable administrative fees charged by Curation of Travel LLC, are the client’s responsibility. Curation of Travel LLC will endeavor to minimize costs but cannot guarantee supplier refunds.
5. Third‑Party Services. Curation of Travel LLC acts as agent for third‑party suppliers and is not liable for acts, omissions, or defaults of suppliers, carriers, or other third parties. Bookings are subject to suppliers’ terms and conditions; clients should review those terms when provided.
6. Limitation of Liability. Except as required by law, Curation of Travel LLC liability for any claim arising out of or related to services provided is limited to the amount of fees paid to Curation of Travel LLC for the affected booking.
7. Travel Insurance. We strongly recommend clients purchase adequate travel insurance to protect against cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, and other risks. Insurance policies are contracts between the client and insurer; Curation of Travel LLC may assist in securing coverage but is not responsible for insurer decisions.
8. Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles.
9. Acceptance by paying the Service Fee or otherwise confirming a booking, the client acknowledges acceptance of these terms. For questions or to request additional disclosures, contact jw@curationoftravel.com or call (318) 250‑5123.
